Sweden — Early Access
Sweden coverage is currently being expanded. Home Security Planning Sweden is in Phase 0 / early access: official burglary statistics are available at kommun (municipality) level from Brå, and we are adding kommuner as data is validated. You can always complete the free home security assessment and download your PDF report.
Official Data Sources
Where kommun-level crime data is available, statistics come directly from Swedish government sources:
- Brå (Brottsförebyggande rådet) — Reported residential burglaries (bostadsinbrott) at kommun level, including attempts, as published in official tables.
- SCB (Statistics Sweden) — Kommun population denominators for rates per 100,000 residents.
- National benchmark — Kommun rates compared against the Sweden national average where official annual data is available.
- Clear disclosures — Reports explain that figures reflect the wider kommun reporting area, not individual neighbourhoods.
Why Kommun-Level Burglary Data Matters
Burglary rates differ significantly between kommuner. A national average does not tell you about your municipality. Where Brå kommun data is available, we use your locality's official bostadsinbrott statistics to contextualise your home's risk.
Combined with a detailed assessment of your property's physical security — doors, locks, windows, lighting, alarms, and cameras — you receive a personalised 0–100 score and prioritised recommendations for practical upgrades.
